"I believe inclusion begins when we stop asking children to fit the world around them, and start asking how we can shape that world to help them belong, thrive, and succeed."
-Dakota Rose Kelsall
About Me
Hi, my name is Dakota and I am a final-stage Bachelor of Inclusive and Specialised Education (Early Childhood) student at Flinders University with practical experience across kindergarten, early learning, nannying and integrated birth-to-five settings.
I am passionate about creating inclusive, nurturing learning environments where children feel known, capable and supported to participate in ways that work for them. My practice is grounded in strong relationships, thoughtful observation, play-based learning, differentiation and collaboration with children, families and colleagues.
I have a keen interest in inclusive education, early intervention, disability and supporting children with diverse learning, communication, sensory and self-regulation needs.
My developing practice is grounded in the belief that every child deserves to feel safe, valued and included in their learning community. I strive to understand children as individuals, recognise their strengths and interests, and create meaningful opportunities for participation, connection and growth.
Committed to inclusive, responsive and relationship-centred early childhood education.
